Set against the backdrop of the rugged 1980s Greek countryside, Christos, a young Athenian, finds himself incapable of tearing himself away from his crush Manolis, a thrice army deserter. And willing to follow him to the four corners of the world, Christos ends up in Manolis' torpid, old-world village. However, as the prodigal son reunites with his estranged, long-suffering mother, Christos cannot help but observe unapproachable Manolis' reluctant but gradual integration into the grotesquely appealing community, dragged deeper and deeper into an emotional and existential cul-de-sac. Now, conflicted Manolis grapples with overwhelming feelings and forbidden desires. But what happens if Christos never fits in?
