Johnny Arthur stars in this one as a rich guy who never gives his servants the day off. So, to get some time off, they arrange to have a phony doctor say that one of them was ill and had to be quarantined....and the master would have to stay away for a while. To kill two birds with one stone, they then rent the house out to a phony spiritualist. When the master arrives home unexpectedly, the props and phony ghost the spiritualist uses scare him and his guests who just arrived. They, in turn, scare the fake ghost...resulting in VERY MILD hilarity.
This is a fair comedy and nothing more. In the 1920s, too many films had similar plots and this one is not among the funnier ones. Worth seeing only if you adore old time comedies.
