I love it!

I loved this little movie. The ending caused me to catch my breath in surprise. It makes me think of my own daydreams in the past - and the lesson is that we should act rather than just daydream.

I'm no movie expert but this one really told a universal story in a short length of time, and it was beautiful to boot. The director showed the passage of time so well. The daydreams occurred in just the way all our daydreams do: right in the midst of our everyday lives - and unbidden. The images were just the kind that a woman might dream and a man would dream. The fact of no dialogue facilitates our entering into the daydreams right along with the man and woman.

Title says it all – it is a slick and sweet look at modern separation

Sweet by name and that is just what it is by nature/content as well. The story is a simple look at two people working through their day. Unbeknownst to the other, both of them engages in flights of fancy about the other, daydreaming in a meeting or somewhat. This continues as the day grinds on however the reality is much different. Fade to black and bring up a suitably sweet old time tune to take us through the credits.

The idea is good and effective as it presents us with a scenario that speaks volume about the emotional distance between people in the modern world. It doesn't do it in a judging way or in a pretentious way – rather it is, of course, sweet. The direction is slick and the footage is well worked and clean. Clever, cool and slick throughout in fact. Not incredibly memorable as a result but fun and well worth a look if you get the chance.
