The Lost City - pity they didn't lose the movie
ChrisJN3 June 2005
A man stumbles across a lost city in South America and escapes with a glass globe and gold medallion. He tumbles down some waterfalls, drowns, floats down the river and is dug up on beach 50 years later by archaeologists. The helicopter returning from the excavation site with students crashes just near the lost city. The students are captured by the inhabitants who speak very good English!!. Helicopter pilot (who you can tell is evil by his nasty expressions) is captured by rebels from the city. . Power play occurs between Princess who fancies the blonde student and wicked sister of king. The the rebels capture the princes and princesses, then they escape and people have sword fights, usual sort of thing.

City inhabitants have camels and elephants and wear quasi Roman/Arab/Barbarians costumes with lots of plastic head gear. Large cast of extras. Surprisingly large and good set of lost city in the jungle; could have come secondhand from an Indiana Joes film?? Plenty of cheesy action, bad fight scenes, wooden acting until half way through - I then fell asleep so no spoilers

Very low budget movie, in fact most of the budget went on the costumes, props and extras thus saving on real actors. Was this film made by students from a film school?? None of the actors appear to have done anything else.

Not worth the effort go find a a good book
