Cheap thrills over quality entertainment

Warning: Spoilers
"Tooth Fairy" is a horror movie. That much is safe after the final development in these 5 minutes written and directed by Joe Harris. Unfortunately, it is not atmospheric at all and at times feels almost like a family movie or comedy film in-between. This is also why the ending comes pretty much out of nowhere when the tooth fairy pays the boy a visit, unfortunately not the one he had hoped for. And what was with that shot from earlier in the film when she seems to appear in a golden cloud or something like that? A very strange film. Not really creepy, not entertaining. I have no idea what to make of this. But I do know that I cannot recommend it unfortunately. thumbs down.

THIS inspired Darkness Falls?

OK, I just watched this and I'll give credit where its due: awesome concept. That alone is great, but overall, this film literally looked like one of the films from my own Film Production class, AND had worse sound. Didn't sound very well mixed at all, a little too raw almost. Then there's the stereotypical mom and boy stuff, complete with under- and/or overacting.

Anyway, its inspiring as hell to see this is what led to Darkness Falls, so on that note I'll say check it out for curiosity's sake, but don't expect much.
