It's quite horrible. I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy.

I come from Slovenia and I daresay that kind of... movies make me feel somewhat ashamed to be a slovenian. I shall be brief - there's not much to say about the movie, anyway. In the beginning of the film we're introduced to Borut, a chap of a quite harmless nature - at the first glance. His marriage is breaking apart and as we later see it, he's not too much content with the whole idea. As a result of his freshly awakened rage, he sets of in his car to a destination uknown to my knowledge - probably roaming pointlessly, which is not such an uncommon act of a raving man. In the process he picks up a hitch-hiker, an apalling bloke with a tendency to philosophize about life with a complete stranger, Borut. He uses poker as some kind of metaphor for life and in all his following talking Borut gathers that he's about to play poker with some hot-shot chaps. That is when Borut decides to kill him - yes, it's not very logical... Borut then takes his identity in order to play the game (meanwhile, he loses his mind... he kills a junkie in a bathroom without any motive). But then things start to get messy... Poker - a film with lots of graphic violence which serves no purpose except to entertain thirteen year olds. A film that is desperately trying to be Pulp Fiction - but alas, fails big time. A film so badly directed that you keep wondering if this is really a comedy. Please skip it. There's absolutely no point in seeing it.

In its 105 minutes Poker has scenes enough for a marathon 4 hour movie.

The movie is made in psychedelic "MTV" musical spot like way. In one moment of the movie there are up to 120 scenes per minute. There is no explanation for some moments in the movie. The characters also have no reasons or motives for most of their actions. It looks like the movie is half-made or at least made in a bit of a hurry.
