Christopher Daniel Barnes: Sergeant Sonny Bonds
Quotes
-
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Morales, I need to have a word with you in my office after this afternoon's briefing.
Officer Pat Morales : Ok... so what did I do this time? Wait!... don't tell me... another complaint from some moron who thinks he was the victim of police brutality.
-
Narrator : [Sonny takes the clipboard and stands over the podium] You begin the briefing...
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Good afternoon, people! I will be filling in for Sergeant Jaco while he's on vacation.
Narrator : You advise the afternoon shift of the procedural information and announcements listed on the clipboard and close by saying...
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Have a safe shift and think about making right hand approaches on your car stops.
[Then 3 of the police workers all stand up from their chairs and walks out of the room]
-
Narrator : [Sonny Bonds walks into his office, sits in his chair with Pat Morales sitting in the other chair] You have a serious talk with Morales...
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : I have a complaint here alleging that you were verbally abusive to one of the violators you stopped. The complaint states that you yelled, screamed and used profanity.
Officer Pat Morales : So whaddya want from me? The guy was a jerk! He'd of liked to do more than file a complaint - if ya know what I mean.
Narrator : Continuing the interview you ask...
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Alright. Why don't YOU tell ME what happened?
Officer Pat Morales : I pull the guy over, right? He's goin' 75, maybe 80 in a 50 mile zone. I walk up to the car and BOOM, right away he starts eyein' me and lippin' off. I'm to put up with that crap?
Narrator : You ask Officer Morales directly...
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Did you raise your voice and use profanity with the man or not?
Officer Pat Morales : Look- you try bein' a woman cop for just one day. Then tell me how to do my job! Truthfully? I don't remember what the hell I said, but whatever it was I had damn good reason!
Sergeant Sonny Bonds : Okay, Morales, that's it for now. Get back on duty and see if you can keep the 'civil' in civil servant.
Officer Pat Morales : Sure, Sarge. Whatever you say.
[Pat Morales stands up from her chair and walks out of the room]
Narrator : You think about what you've learned regarding the civilian complaint.
[Then a complaint message option appears on screen]
