A different and dark kind of story
Nukem99916 May 2013
Talk about stunning! The crisp black and white cinematography and chilling music create incredible soundtrack pieces that truly captivate the intensity of the story and its characters. This film feels fast, thrilling, creative and gives you a sense of dark intensity that stays with you. It looks artsy but it's not, it's more daring, edgy and different and that's why it drew me in and wanted to see more. Damions really has some staggering, piercing eyes and a lot is said through the characters chemistry through their body language and eye movement more so than the dialog. Really dark, interesting and well made, LOVED the music, definitely give this a look.

It gave me chills! Warning: Spoilers
A reserved artist (Derrick Damions) finds himself in the wrong place, at the wrong time, when he's drugged in a sushi bar. He becomes confused about a number of things, including the situation with Zoe (Stacey Smith), his sexy love interest. He's a tortured soul who must go through a thrilling discovery to find his way out of a very dark predicament.

Derrick's screen presence, matched with the black and white cinematography, is chilling and arousing. I love his brooding eyes. They seem to lure you in. And, the chemistry between him and Stacey is deeply erotic. It's definitely a version of Twilight for grown-ups. I'm usually pretty good at predicting story lines, but the plot twist had me dissecting The Day We Disappear for about a week. Things happen fast, so be prepared to watch this movie a few times. It is a must see. Please, please make this into a full-length film.

a sexy, dark and fierce ride

Warning: Spoilers
All I can say is wow. Its a bit gritty, but in the best sort of way. It has a perfectly matched soundtrack to the film and everything flows together with ease. The first thing that interested me about the film was the trailer. Once I saw the trailer, I knew I had to see the film. Even though it is a bit "artsy," it is still definitely worth a watch. You wont be sorry you gave it a change. Like the title of this review says, the film is a sexy, dark and fierce ride. You will be able to see and feel the ups and down in the film and your emotions will be right alongside the characters when you watch. Derrick Damions (as the stranger) definitely sports his film presence and does a great job.
