This review is for the Sega Genesis version: The levels are just like the movies.
Training: 1st you train at Grandpas cabin. This board is too hard for a training level. Whats worse is you must win to move on newer levels. I never beat this w/out a game genie.
Cabin: Those 3 Heavy Metal thugs invade Grandpas cabin and you fight them off while collecting items. They're really easy however the other enemies in that board like ninjas and birds are rather irritating. Perhaps the easiest level in the game.
Cave: There are 2 cave missions. Both are fairly difficult. The last cave mission is when you fight Koga.
Japenese garden: It took me forever to finish this level. You have to do a lot of jumping to get around while all while enemies attack and throw things at you.
Hospital: Other than the cabin this board is pretty easy too. You'll encounter those Heavy metal thugs again and they're real easy. There will be other things at the Hospital like ninjas, things falling, exploding or small distractions but they arn't that bad. You fight that big Japenese Nurse at the end.
SO: This is the only 3 ninjas game to come out so I'd recommend it. Its pretty hard but it can still be fun, especially 2 player mode. There are passwords so you can go to which level you please. After every level Grandpa lets you collect items on a bonus stage. The bosses at the end of each level are much easier with 2 players.
