Classical Giorgos Konstadinou

Giorgos Konstadinou is a living legend of Greek TV.He made lots of TV-series and he was pioneer in comedy in Greek TV.I alepou kai o boufos was one of his best!It was very funny and maybe cult!Giorgos Konstadinou holds the major role and has for leading lady the beautiful young blond girl Tzovanna Fragouli. The chemistry between them is unique. That's why they cooperate again and again in the future.Dina Konsta and Kostas Palios are very good but the character that plays Markos Lezes is really cult!Markos Lezes is in his major role in his poor career in the TV.He is very funny. It is pity that Giorgos Konstadinou don't make any more good TV-series.

Funny and Enjoyable to watch!

My family taped this series when it was on TV many years ago, because it wasn't often that we had the opportunity to see Greek comedy series on TV- and I'm so grateful they did! This has to be one of the best Greek series ever- it's the type of show you can watch over and over again.

Giorgos Konstantinou has created a fantastic story about an awkward man who must marry to inherit money. Enter all the crazy characters who are there to help or impede him and sometimes both! Great characters include his bothersome neighbour Thomas, his long suffering aunt Meropi, Thomas' psycho wife Calypso and many more.

The result is a hilarious, well written series, that I wish could be released on DVD. In the mean time, I'll enjoy the copy I have on video :)

Forgotten gem

At this era Giorgios Konstadinou was the best comedic script writer on tv, making many series. And of course being one of the best comedians of all time in Greece, he was also the protagonist. The character he plays on this show is an awkward, lonely, out of his time, middle aged man who never had a real experience with a woman. A role that Is very close to what Konstadinou has been playing throughout his career in old Greek comedies and that's why he absolutely nails it. All of a sudden he gets involved in situations with people who can't handle them or they can't handle him. Most other actors are very good, especially Dina Konsta (his aunt) and Marcos Lezes (his neighbour) with fast paced, original and very funny dialogues. The only downside of the show is the other main character (Sylvia) played by Tzovanna Fragouli. Unfortunately as an actress she's way below the level of even most of the supporting cast. In conclusion, it is a very enjoyable comedy which you can watch more than once or two, especially because of the dialogues.
