Exclusive: After soaring in reality TV and most recently fashion merchandising with her Skims line, Kim Kardashian is ready to go after a new conquest. She’s at the center of the weekend’s hot film package. Kardashian is attached to star in and produce the The 5th Wheel, a comic pitch that will be scripted by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. Pell will produce with Kardashian, and Deadline hears that multiple bids are already on the table, as five studios battle for the package.
Kardashian has been very hands on in the pitch for the female-driven comedy, appearing at each meeting to deliver the pitch and the studios are lining up to get in business with Kardashian.
Kardashian has done limited work as an actress, including lending her voice to two Paw Patrol films. She stepped it up with a scene stealing role in the most recent season of FX’s American Horror Story.

Samara now has one more reason to emerge from her well. Another lead role has been cast for Rings, the sequel to the 2002 remake, The Ring, adding one more potential victim of the cursed tape to the film's ranks.
Deadline reports that Alex Roe (The 5th Wave, Sniper: Legacy) has been cast as the male lead opposite Matilda Lutz in director F. Javier Gutiérrez's Rings. Roe will play "the boyfriend to Lutz’s character", who "becomes distant from her after watching the tape."
Rings, scheduled to come out in 3D, will explore the origin story of Samara. At this time, it's unclear how much of the story will incorporate the insights gained about Samara's past in The Ring and The Ring Two, and with the unveiling of Roe's character description, it sounds like the cursed tape will already be in existence at some point in the film, so perhaps...

It’s a fate worse than any Blockbuster late fee from back in the day: if you watch the tape, you die one week later at the hands of Samara Morgan, the black-haired ghost girl who needs no help getting out of the well she calls home. Though the 2002 American remake of 1998's Ringu unveiled some of Samara's backstory (in addition to the 2005 sequel, The Ring Two), there's still much more to explore about the adopted girl in the well, and Paramount is looking to to shed light on the murky horrors of Samara's past with Rings, the upcoming third entry in The Ring remake franchise that's slated for release late this year. Pre-production on the movie recently kicked off in Atlanta, and director F. Javier Gutiérrez shared some photos that give us new glimpses of the black-haired terror from the TV screen and much more.

Little-known Italian actress Matilda Lutz ("The Fifth Wheel," "Someone Beautiful") is set to play the female lead in "Rings," the sequel/restart of the "The Ring" franchise.
It hasn't been confirmed. but it's expected this will keep the continuity of events in 2002's "The Ring" and 2005's "The Ring Two" rather than reboot the franchise. However, it will feature a brand new cast with Naomi Watts not expected to return.
The story is said to still feature the tormented Samara and a deadly videotape, but no further specifics have been released including details of Matilda Lutz's character.
F. Javier Gutierrez has signed on to direct the project which David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes and Akiva Goldsman have worked on. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing.

Last July, it was revealed that F. Javier Gutiérrez will direct the next Ring movie (referred to then as The Ring 3) from Paramount Pictures, and now the film’s new, official name and first cast member have been revealed.

Even 11 years later, network TV has never aired anything else quite like Joe Millionaire, Fox’s groundbreakingly cruel, incredibly popular Reality 1.0 experiment. The basic premise, as if you could ever forget: 20 money-hungry airheads arrive at a gorgeous French chateau to compete for the affections of Evan Marriott, a man who has just inherited more than $50 million. They have no idea that Evan’s money is as fake as their eyelashes – he’s actually a blue-collar construction worker.

Jerry Springer's latest iteration of voyeuristic, tabloid television comes in the form of Gsn's Baggage. On the dating show, the former mayor of Cincinnati and host of his eponymous syndicated talk show guides a bachelor or bachelorette through a series of revelations about three prospective dates. The catch? The prospective dates have baggage. Literally. They each tote three suitcases along with them, and each suitcase contains a secret. The bigger the suitcase, the bigger the secret. It's pretty okay as far as bad television goes, though watching really just makes you nostalgic for dating shows from the format's Golden Age in the early 2000s, when Blind Date and The Fifth Wheel ruled the ratings. While Springer will never top Roger Lodge in my book, Baggage isn't doing too shabby. Gsn recently debuted the series' second season and signed svelte Hollywood blogger, Perez Hilton for a short-form web series as...
