A new documentary titled Devil in Disguise tonight retells the horrific double slaying of a couple by ‘vampire’ killer Rod Ferrell. In his teens Ferrell was part of a cult known as the ‘Vampire Clan’ in Murray, Kentucky, and would tell people how he was a 500-year-old vampire called Vesago. He gave himself the identity after reportedly becoming obsessed with role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. In November 1996 at the age of 16 he and accomplice Howard Scott Anderson walked into the home of Richard Wendorf and Naomi Ruth Queen and Ferrell bludgeoned them to death with a crowbar. To many knowledgeable gamers in the world, most predominantly of the PC persuasion, November 16th 2004 is a day ingrained into the soul. It was a day which heralded arguably one of the greatest games of all time in terms of sheer entertainment, the technological advancements it possessed upon release, its ludological storytelling, and the fact we could finally progress where many of us left off seven long, long years ago.
Of course, Half-Life 2 is a brilliant game, and certainly a first-person-shooter that has aged not one bit. However to me there was another game, a better game that came out on this day and has since been buried deep into the swamp of obscurity, overshadowed by the colossal release of Valve’s masterpiece.
Of course, I am talking about Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, produced by the wonderful yet unfortunately now defunct Troika Games.

It’s undoubtedly true that any “genre” TV series is only as good as its best villains, and the reason for the enduring popularity of HBO’s True Blood (which has its fourth season premiere on June 26th) is the fact that it’s given us so many wickedly entertaining otherworldly antagonists to sink our collective teeth into over the last three years.
So what makes for a good supernatural evildoer? With so many different factors to consider (not the least of which is the talent of the performer inhabiting the role) it’s certainly a tough thing to quantify, but in order to celebrate the return of Sookie Stackhouse and company we thought we’d give it a shot anyway.
Below you can check out Ae’s profiles on ten preternatural vampires, demons, witches, warlocks and other assorted miscreants that have captured the popular imagination on the small screen over the years,...

The Sparkly Vampire Clan of Forks, Wa easily topped the De-Asianed Trio of Heroes on Friday, as Eclipse pulled in more than $28 million on Friday night to add to their already sizeable $68 million opening day. That's an impressive chunk of change that'll buy plenty of promise rings and pre-torn jean cut-offs for the whole cast. Meanwhile, the Worst Reviewed Movie in the History of the World managed to sucker in more than $16 million its opening day, but look for that number to plummet as the weekend continues and the toxic word of mouth travels. The stalwart Toy Story 3, the urine-soaked Grown-Ups, and the failure-flavored Knight and Day made up the rest of the Top 5. Check out the complete numbers after the jump.

Ta member kijo921 talks about who she thinks would do well as Riley in EclipsenbspThe Question of Riley from Eclipse By kijo921As summer drones along and we await the November release of New Moon I cant help but wonder about the part of Riley since the filming of Eclipse is supposed to begin in August. So it makes me wonder who they will cast for his part. Now I have to be honest its been awhile since Ive read the third installment of our beloved saga but I still have his image in my mind. Many people started the rumor that Channing Tatum had secured the role because screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg stated that he was her ideal. However I know many of us may have other suggestions for the role of Victorias pawn. And even though I have some questionable men in mind below I just wanted to give...
