Before directing early silent epics like Cabiria, Giovanni Pastrone was producing more prosaic fare such as this mediocre comedy starring Italian comic Enrico Vaser. The film shows Vaser's attempted harassment of a pretty young woman in a cinema, behaviour that is viewed as unacceptable today but which was a rich source for laughs back in the silent days.
