All it took to win me over in "Crystal Dreams" was the fabulous recurring top-shot of Chloe swimming nude in a sylvan pond, and the following two hours of this dreamy video continued to captivate me. Nick Orleans is at the top of his game here, providing Adam & Eve viewers with Couples Romance in a way that two decades later has been abandoned by the Adult Industry, including Nick and A&E judging from their recent releases.
Chole plays Crystal, and the film's structure has her thrashing in bed, overwhelmed by erotic dreams. Mariah, a largely-forgotten but enticing dark-skinned actress, introduces her far-fetched anecdote of working as assistant in Dr. Cannon's lab (Chris Cannon improbably cast as a research scientist) where examining crystals under the microscope leads to hot and heavy sex with the Periodic Table on the wall as background. Ava Vincent, on the cusp of her own super-stardom is tremendous in a threesome with Alec Metro and Lena Roman, as Metro tries to sell her some fabulous jewels.
Tina Tyler, perfectly cast as a psychic healer who uses crystals and stones as part of her craft, is a key player in the saga, and her bangs and styling exactly presage the look adopted by Dana DeArmond for her screen persona nearly a decade later. Before a logically set-up orgy finale, film's true climax is a classic scene where Lexington Steele brings great authority in his measured dialog delivery as sort of a Shaman surrounded by African fertility idols as he explains the power of stones to Chloe and seduces her in a brilliant use of his foot-long dick as part of a real movie scene, and not its usual sex object usage.
