ABC recently unveiled its 2024-2025 primetime schedule, which sees the network airing just five scripted series, including new dramas “High Potential” and “Doctor Odyssey.” “Grey’s Anatomy” will shift one hour to the 10:00 p.m. slot on Thursdays while the network will mark the return of “The Wonderful World of Disney” to its schedule.
ABC
“Dancing with the Stars” will be moving to Tuesday nights so that the network can air consistent programming that won’t be interrupted by “Monday Night Football” broadcasts scheduled for select Mondays. Said Monday night programming options will be announced at a later date.
Following “Dancing with the Stars” will be “High Potential,” written by Oscar-nominated Drew Goddard and based on the popular French series. The crime procedural stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, a single mom with an exceptional mind whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.

Tyler Cameron, the runner-up in the 15th season of The Bachelorette in 2019, shared his favorite moments on the show in his new uInterview.
In reference to his time on-screen, Cameron told uInterview founder Erik Meers, “I think a favorite memory was probably hometown, coming home to see my family for the first time. You know, my dad was just getting over being sick, and he had no voice, and I just wanted to share a moment with him and to see my mom and how giddy she was – that was fun, that was really cool.”
He expanded, “Behind the scenes stuff, there was a time we drank the plane dry going Scotland and, like, one of the guys fell through someone’s seat and hit his head… It was hilarious; we were all cracking up.”
Cameron had to fight to get former Bachelorette Hannah Brown to choose him for the hometown date.

Joan Vassos as the first Golden Bachelorette was a surprise to many fans in the franchise. She has now surpassed Katie Thurston in Bachelor Nation. But what does that mean?
Joan Vassos Surpasses Katie Thurston In Bachelor Nation
Bachelor Nation fans love to give titles and create competition among the contestants. For example, there’s an entire Instagram account dedicated to tracking how many social media followers Bachelor Nation alums have.
One thing fans like to keep track of is specific details of the jump from contestant to lead. In particular, how long they were on the show before getting eliminated and later named Bachelorette or in Joan’s case, Golden Bachelorette.
For example, the early Bachelorette leads typically came in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place on their particular Bachelor season. That tradition differed slightly when Hannah Brown was named Bachelorette despite coming in 7th place on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor.

Golden Bachelor star Joan Vassos was named the historic first Golden Bachelorette. Is Gerry Turner’s runner-up, Leslie Fhima, bitter over the snub? Or is she responsible for the network choosing someone else?
Golden Bachelor Runner-Up Passed Over For Spinoff
Many people thought Leslie Fhima was a shoo-in for the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. After all, she was one of the two finalists on the first season of The Golden Bachelor.
Viewers felt empathy for her. Especially as they watched her heart break when Gerry Turner told her she wasn’t the right one for him. Whose heart didn’t hurt when Leslie said she’s never the right one for anyone?

She clearly wasn’t the right one for ABC to choose to lead the inaugural season of the Golden Bachelorette. That honor went to Joan Vassos, the 61-year-old widow who left the show early due to a family crisis.

Even though The Golden Bachelor viewers were calling for the likes of Susan Noles, Faith Martin, and Leslie Fhima as top contenders for the role, there has been a lot of excitement after Joan was announced.
That includes The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner, who immediately posted about The Golden Bachelorette despite having become a Bachelor Nation villain after filing for...

Jenn Tran is The Bachelorette for Season 21 when The Bachelor spinoff returns this summer.
It’s no secret that she was at least the third choice for the role after Daisy Kent and Maria Georgas stepped down.
But that doesn’t mean she isn’t the best choice and after Maria’s recent podcast appearance, that is becoming more apparent.
Not to mention, Daisy Kent already has a new man after coming in second place while trying to win over Joey Graziadei.
We’re dying to know how Jenn is doing on her journey, which has been filming since soon after The Bachelor season ended.
So far, we know that Daisy and Kelsey will be making an appearance, but beyond that, not much is known, and the spoilers have been few and far between — which is going to make Jenn’s season even more epic once it starts in July.

Vassos, who is 61 years old, was a contestant on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor” in the fall. She was one of the first to develop a strong connection with Gerry Turner, but chose to go home during Week 3 to be with her daughter, who was having a medical emergency.
Vassos is a mother of four and a grandmother of two, who was widowed after 32 years of marriage. She works as a school administrator and is from Rockville, Md. Per ABC, her hobbies include listening to Elton John, spending time with her dog and cooking.

Joan Vassos is getting another shot at love.
The 61-year-old school administrator has been cast as the inaugural Golden Bachelorette, ABC announced Tuesday during Disney’s Upfront presentation.
Vassos was an early frontrunner during Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor. She unfortunately had to voluntarily leave the show during Week 3 due to a family emergency. During the Women Tell All, Vassos admitted that she felt there was some unfinished business between her and Turner. At times, she said it was hard not to wonder what may have happened if she’d stayed.
ABC also announced that The Golden Bachelorette, which debuts this fall, will air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Et/Pt before new episodes of Abbott Elementary.

After announcing what shows from its current roster have been renewed or canceled last week, ABC has revealed its full lineup for its Fall 2024 programming. As previously announced, unscripted programs Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Dancing With the Stars, American Idol, and more have been renewed for new seasons, though the latter will experience a big change when Katy Perry doesn’t return as a judge in its eighth season at ABC (23rd overall). To no one’s surprise, The Bachelor has also been renewed for Season 29. Shark Tank and What Would You Do? will also be coming back for more. As for its scripted programming, the Emmy-winning powerhouse that is Abbott Elementary will be back for Season 4 (it scored an early renewal in February), The Conners has been renewed for a seventh and final season, and Not Dead Yet was sadly canceled after two seasons. “The Golden Bachelor was probably the television event last year,” ABC TV Group President Craig Erwich said in an interview with Deadline on the day of the Disney upfront presentation. The Bachelor offshoot was so successful, it spawned a highly rated special, The Golden Wedding.
But just three months after Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist tied the knot, they filed for divorce having never lived together. The controversy raised questions about the future of the franchise whose previously ordered spinoff, The Golden Bachelorette, premieres this fall.
The Golden Bachelor is not going anywhere, Erwich suggested.
“I think Golden Bachelor is a show that’s about finding love at a later age. It’s incredibly root-able, it’s aspirational, and that franchise and those values extend to a lot of different people and a lot of different stories. So we’re very dedicated to this franchise,” he said.

Well, if you had tried to get us to guess the ABC 2024-25 fall season announcement, we couldn’t have predicted much of it.
There are new shows sprinkled throughout, but ABC is going almost full reality, which is a choice.
Let’s see what we’ve got to work with here.
Two new shows will interest TV Fanatics: High Potential, starring Kaitlin Olson, which was delayed due to the strikes, and Doctor Odyssey, starring Joshua Jackson as a cruise ship doctor.
High Potential gets a 10/9c slot on Tuesdays after Dancing with the Stars.
Despite the relationship disaster of The Golden Bachelor, ABC is dedicating an hour and a half weekly to The Golden Bachelorette while snuggling award-winning comedy Abbott Elementary between that and a docuseries called Scamanda.
Thursdays find Doctor Odyssey after 9-1-1 and before Grey’s Anatomy.
And TV Fanatic favorites The Rookie and Will Trent? Saved for midseason.

Where are you, Bachelor in Paradise? ABC unveiled its 2024-2025 primetime schedule, and Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 is noticeably not on the fall schedule. ABC will once again have Abbott Elementary as a centerpiece of its Wednesday night in 2024-25 — but it will begin the season without any companion comedies.
The Emmy-winning series will move back a half-hour to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, with The Golden Bachelorette (which will run 90 minutes each week, up from an hour for The Golden Bachelor last fall) as its lead-in. The rest of ABC’s comedy offerings for 2024-25 — including the final season of The Conners — will come in the second half of the season.

ABC is doubling down with Ryan Murphy on Thursday nights. The Alphabet network revealed a fall 2024 schedule on Tuesday that features the Murphy’s “9-1-1” and newcomer “Doctor Odyssey” on Thursday nights.
The move now turns the night — long the home for Shonda Rhimes’ hit “Tgit” franchises, into a bit of a “Tgim” — “Thank God It’s Murphy” — and shifts “Grey’s Anatomy” to 10 p.m.
Also, the network revealed that it is going with an “Abbott Elementary” island on Wednesdays, sandwiched between a 90-minute format for “The Golden Bachelorette” and then the unexpected, previously unannounced true crime ABC News docuseries “Scamanda.”
But don’t fret for “Abbott,” says Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich. He tells Variety that after the success of “The Golden Bachelor” in the fall, lead-in from “The Golden Bachelorette” will “position it to continue to garner both audience as well as the critical claim that it so deserves.

Maria Georgas has ruffled a few feathers in Bachelor Nation.
It seems some Bachelor franchise alumni aren’t impressed with claims she made on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper last week.
It started with her friend, Nick Viall, speaking out after Maria claimed she suspected him of setting her up for a feud with Sydney Gordon on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor.
Nick made it clear that he had nothing to do with the drama after Maria claimed a photo of Nick and Sydney made her suspicious. His new wife, Natalie Joy, called Maria “delusional.”

The Ukrainian edition of “The Bachelor” is set to return with 28-year-old war veteran Oleksandr Budko as the lead.
Produced by Starlight Media (an Stb channel) and Warner Bros. International Television, the iconic dating format has been adapted in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Budko’s casting is a key part of that. The war vet signed up to defend his country in February 2022 and within six months was promoted to platoon commander. But his army career was cut short during the battle for Kharkiv when a shell landed near him, causing Budko to lose both his legs. He has since undergone extensive rehabilitation and had prosthetics fitted.
Budko has continued to achieve great things, competing in Prince Harry’s international athletics tournament for injured veterans, the Invictus Games, where he won a medal, and taking part in a ballet performance alongside the United Ukrainian Ballet in California.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are officially getting divorced. The first-ever golden couple made it just three months into their marriage before they decided they were not right for each other. This week, Joey Graziadei and his dad, Nick, made a podcast appearance on Bachelor Happy Hour, where both men opened up quite a bit.
They chatted with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt about several aspects of life and even discussed just how emotionally mature Joey is.
It turns out there’s a good reason for that.
Nick Graziadei admitted that Joey is probably more emotionally mature than he is, even now.
He credited part of that to Joey, who had grown up with divorced parents. They split at a young age, forcing Joey and his sisters to learn some life lessons younger than most.
When Nick’s sexuality was brought up, we learned even more about him and Joey as they talked about what it was like for Nick to come out as gay to his three young children.
