He most recently was Svp Development at T Group Prods and has sold shows to both broadcast and cable networks over his career. He also developed Sony Pictures Television’s game show franchise Russian Roulette, which has been produced in more than 30 countries. “He has proven himself to be a true innovator in the world of television and we look forward to working with him on expanding our unscripted business”, BermanBraun television president Gene Stein said in announcing the deal. Sony Pictures Television International has closed deals with Middle East broadcaster MBC for four game show formats including one that has yet to be seen by U.S. television audiences, Dragons' Den. The program involves would-be entrepreneurs being introduced to venture capitalists with money to dole out for good business ideas. The other formats include Human Resources, a show in which contestants square off for jobs. The deal also includes the game show Russian Roulette and relationship show The Newlywed Game. The deal was announced Tuesday by Paul Gilbert, vp, international program development and format sales.
