Another Great Helping Of Hulkamania
Big Movie Fan17 December 2002
I thoroughly enjoyed the Hulk Hogan tapes released by Silver Vision in the late 80's/early 90's. They always showcased Hogan's best moments against his most hated foes and Hulkamania VI was no exception.

Hulk Hogan battled The Undertaker in a 1991 match. It was not their Survivor Series '91/Tuesday in Texas match. It was a reasonable enough match.

Then, we came to see Hulk Hogan working out in the gym and giving us his workout tips. It was okay, I guess.

Next up, Hulk Hogan defended his WWF Title against the Macho Man Randy Savage. This was a match from the WWF's 1989 World Tour and took place in Paris, France. Hogan and Savage feuded on and off from 1986-1999 and I believe their 1989 matches were the best. This was a good encounter.

Up next was another match on foreign soil. Hogan faced Stan Hansen in the Tokyo Egg Dome, Japan. Fans who have only ever seen Hogan at work in the AWA, NWA, WWF/WWE or WCW are in for a nice surprise. You see, whilst on American soil, Hogan stuck to his usual array of punches and big boots. Whenever he went to Japan, he unveiled his rarely seen technical side. This was a fantastic and violent match and was the best on the tape.

Hulk Hogan then defended his WWF Title against King Kong Bundy in a cage match from WrestleMania 2 (1986). This was a brutal hard hitting match from a time when fans could suspend their disbelief and believe that the two opponents actually hated each other.

In the penultimate match, Hogan faced General Adnan. As was usual in 1991, the fans enjoyed seeing Adnan get his butt kicked.

The final match was from WrestleMania 7 (1991) and had WWF Champion Sgt. Slaughter defending his title against the Hulkster. This was set a month after the Gulf War ended and the WWF were still running the 'Slaughter Is Pro-Saddam' angle. This was a heated match in which all seemed lost for Hogan until he made a superman comeback and beat Slaughter to a pulp. The patriotic fans cheered after this heated match.

All in all, a fantastic tape which is perfect for fans of the Hulkster. It is now deleted by Silver Vision due to the World Wildlife Fund's court ruling against WWE but don't let that stop you tracking it down.
