How does this title play ? once you load a coin into the arcade cabinet, you are booted to a screen where you get to choose what track and transmission you would like to play with. In the arcade version, there are 3 selectable tracks, and one selectable vehicle being a formula 1 car with two different selectable transmissions : A manual transmission and an Automatic transmission. Though, in some versions of the game released onto home consoles, there were some extra tracks, modes and vehicles implemented into the game.
One of the more notable additional modes was the grand prix mode, featured in the Sega Saturn, Switch and PS2 port, where you get to play all of the in game tracks back to back going from easiest to hardest, with the goal of obtaining the most points out of all participants and winning the overall Grand prix. Some of the rewards earned from winning could include additional vehicles (as seen in the PS2 and Saturn ports). The grand Prix mode adds more replayability to these games and is a fun little extra challenge for the more seasoned players.
