I've only watched the first two of six parts but they are very good. I wasn't expecting much from this; I'm afraid I was simply looking for a bearable nonfiction videotape from the library which I hadn't seen yet. I'm not a vintage auto buff but found all this quite interesting.
The makers dug up a zillion old cars and showed them actually motoring along roads all over. The writers did a good job of covering the progression of automobile engineering but do it in such a way that that shouldn't scare off people who don't care diddlysquat about differences in manufacturing, while it should keep invention fans enthralled, too. The only things missing are babes in bikinis & a murder mystery but we can get those elsewhere.
