Due to the death of Owen Hart this is the only World Wrestling Federation pay per view event never to be released on home video or DVD.
This was an event that will be remembered by professional wrestlers and fans alike, as Owen Hart fell to his death during an in-ring stunt. The WWF made the controversial decision to continue the show after Owen's death, a decision that was criticized by many and still is today.
Owen Hart as "The Blue Blazer" was originally booked to defeat The Godfather for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The match never occurred due to his untimely death.
On May 24, 1999, a tribute to Owen Hart was held on Raw is War in St. Louis called RAW is Owen. It featured tearful interviews from his fellow wrestlers. Owen's brother Bret Hart memoralized him when Bret returned to WCW Monday Nitro a couple of months later, after Bret had "quit" WCW in storyline, just a few weeks earlier.
After only two years, the event was retired, apparently out of respect for Owen Hart.
