Margarita Fischer plays the role here of a girl on the seacoast who becomes enamored of a young artist and goes to the city. She leads the gay life and falls very low in the social scale. In the end, she returns home to find her first lover married to her sister. She jumps into the sea and drowns. The photography and acting in this production are quite good, but the story fails to grip the observer, owing, no doubt, to its rather sordid character. - The Moving Picture World, July 5, 1913
