Mistakes are vital for learning and improvement
ej-brennan13 January 2011
I was present when John Cleese first delivered the speech on this topic. He delivered it as the keynote speech for a national conference on training and development. The program was co-sponsored by The Personnel Journal magazine and Training Magazine in 1987 at the Jacob Javits Conference Center in NYC. That was the basis for this video. The presentation was amusing, clear, cogent, and eye-opening. As everyone knows, John Cleese is a consummate performer. Whay many don't know is that was an Oxford grad and founded the largest non-entertainment film company in the world. The topic covers realities vitally important to anyone dealing with human behavior. The practical aspects affect training, education, learning, and performance improvement.
