VAMPIRA is a low key Filipino horror movie of the kind familiar to anyone with an understanding of local Tagalog cinema: these are character based dramas with an emphasis on melodrama and the occasional bit of high camp cheesy horror or special effects. The story here is about a woman cursed by vampirism, who tries to beat her fate by marrying a handsome man. Unfortunately for her, it doesn't work out too well. Foreign viewers will find this all rather bogged down by overacting, although there's a little local flavour despite the cliched scenario.
