Revolutionary Russia's idea of comedy.
Mozjoukine5 November 2015
An example of the little seen Soviet comedy-message productions of the twenties.

Communal Kitchens, established as part of the first Soviet Five Year plan, come under review here with Poliarkov, unhappy at home, trying them out with farcical complications which leave the citizen customers frustrated. A bit of people's reform and all ends well.

Maksimova and Antonov, the comic chef-dishwasher combination are performers from the so-called montage classics.

Some interest. More a curiosity than an entertainment.

Survives as an adequate archival copy.
