I remember seeing this little crime comedy back in 1974, a Saturday night. It begins with a bank robbery, and not any ordinary bank, no Sir. The Bank of France itself, in the middle of Paris. A couple of petty hoodlums steal a big gold bullion just in front of a big police squad. They use the help of professional gangsters who play decoys in order to help the two leads in changing the shipment during the false attack. They put lead bullion instead of gold...
And they escape with the package, pursued by the whole french police forces and the gangsters who are desperate to get their cut, understanding that the two hoods screwed them.
An amusing comedy for Saturday evenings.
But that's not Hubert Cornfield's PLUNDER ROAD, nor Peter Collinson's Italian JOB...
