Chris Pratt listened to a lot of old school music as his Guardians of the Galaxy character Peter Quill. But after a while, he didn’t enjoy the soundtrack nearly as much as his Star-Lord did.
Why Chris Pratt grew tired of Star-Lord’s music Chris Pratt | Anthony Harvey/Getty Images
Pratt did whatever he could to get into the head of his Star-Lord character in Guardians of the Galaxy. This meant working out rigorously for the role so he could get himself into superhero shape. But this also meant listening to Star-Lord’s music nonstop. When audiences are first introduced to Pratt’s Peter Quill in the first movie, the character is seen dancing around and listening to music. The music is a mix of songs Quill’s mother made for him back when he was still living on Earth.

Directors’ guild the Srf issued a statement saying “the far right is attacking culture”.
France’s directors’ guild, the Srf, and the producers guilds Spi and Upc, have all come out in support of Mehdi Fikri’s family drama After The Fire, about a woman on a quest for justice when her brother dies in police custody, blaming the film’s poor box office and scathing reviews on a far-right campaign they say is putting free speech at risk.
Fikri’s first feature was released in France on November 15 by Bac Films after a world premiere in Toronto’s Discovery section.

Wingwomen, the next feature film directed by actress Mélanie Laurent, has received a teaser trailer from Netflix!
The film’s original French title is Voleuses, which means Thieves. However, this needs to translate better into English.
The movie is an adaptation of the French comic novel “La Grande Odalisque” authored by Bastien Vivès, Jérôme Mulot, and Florent Ruppert. It is about a gang of female professional thieves that target high-end treasures.
Melanie directed the film and also co-wrote it with Christophe Deslandes and Cédric Anger. It will be intriguing to see how effectively she does three tasks simultaneously: writing, directing, and performing.
The Wingwomen teaser doesn’t provide much information, which is understandable. We can soak in the radiance of Melanie’s grin till the trailer arrives.

This post contains spoilers for the "Ted Lasso" season 3 finale.
Throughout the three season run of "Ted Lasso," the incredibly popular series ended up hitting on a lot of different levels. Starting out as a comedy first and a rousing sports drama second, the show touched on unexpected issues about anxiety, acceptance, and inequality. The emotional stakes on and off the field kept getting higher and higher, to the point where a lot of season 3 was overshadowed by an unnecessary rivalry between the fictional AFC Richmond team and Manchester City that culminated in an unconvincing arc for Nate, who switched sides, became evil, and then received a hollow redemption.
Moving from a straight fish-out-of-water comedy in season 1 to an effective dramedy in season 2, the final season of "Ted Lasso" was on shaky ground from the start, with too much attention paid to winning the Premiere League instead of staying true...

Even some of the most accomplished musicians of all time have found themselves at the center of plagiarism cases. Sometimes, they get off without any trouble; juries determine that the song simply uses common chord progressions or that there are no real similarities. Other times, though, musicians pay a lot of money to settle the cases. Here are four musicians who lost money in plagiarism cases.
George Harrison | Bettmann/Contributor via Getty George Harrison
One of the most notable plagiarism cases involved one of the biggest musicians of all time. George Harrison was fresh off his time with The Beatles when he released “My Sweet Lord.” The song made him the first former Beatle to hit No. 1 as a solo artist. It also brought him legal trouble.

The second season premiere of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury" followed the action-packed first season finale by returning to the status quo at Asticassia School of Technology. The next episode blew it up, killing characters and breaking Asticassia beyond repair. Now in this third episode, we leave Asticassia for the most part. Nika and Miorine appear, Shaddiq chats with his (kidnapped) guardian, but the heroine Suletta is totally absent. It's another big twist in a season that's leaned on shock and awe, catching the viewer's attention with the right hand to hide what's in the left. These sorts of magicians' tricks only work so long as the viewer is willing to suspend their sense of disbelief. Thankfully "The Witch From Mercury" is generous. The staff is very good at conditioning the audience, predicting what they want and then giving it to them when they least expect it or most dread it.

The comedy music duo Flight of the Conchords — New Zealanders Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie — have been gradually racking up kudos for more than a decade, but Egot is around the corner for one of them. They won a Grammy together for Best Comedy Album, and then McKenzie won an Oscar for his original song “Man or Muppet” from the 2011 “The Muppets” movie. Wellspring is eyeing an August release for the film, a period piece that follows a young widowed schoolteacher who flees the German occupation of Paris with her children. During their escape, the family meets a charismatic teenager who helps them survive in the wilderness. Techine's credits include the Catherine Deneuve starrer My Favorite Season and Alice and Martin, starring Juliette Binoche.
