The Ten Commandments Number 10: Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbour's Wife (1996)

The tenth and final film in director Phil Mulloy's series contains some of that perverted sense of humor that is in some of his best work. This time out a man falls in love with his married neighbor but she doesn't know he even exists. In order to get her attention he kidnaps her dog, teaches him to do certain things and then the man replaces himself with the dog (yeah, I know). The story itself is incredibly far fetched but there's enough humor here to make the film worth sitting through and especially for fans of the director. This here clocks in the longest of the series coming in at just under 10-minutes but the pacing is actually excellent as there's really not a dull moment to be found. I really liked the way that the director just kept building up the situation and it gets to a point to where you don't know exactly what's going to happen next. There's some dark humor including a sequence where the man, dressed as the dog, gets under the covers with the woman and if you know Mulloy's work then you should know what happens. The film is certainly going to appeal to a certain type of person and I'd say that the majority of people are going to be offended by if you've got a dark sense of humor then it's worth watching.
