- Female characters wear suggestive clothing, & use suggestive taunts. A match type that debuts in this game is for Divas called "Bra and Panties", that involves taking your opponent's clothes off. No nudity is shown, but the character is only wearing her bathing suit.

- Wrestling-style violence. Blood can be seen when you brutally strike your opponent in the face. This is the first SmackDown game to have blood, and it can be turned off at the will of the player in the Options.
