Each year tourists come to southern Montana from all over the world to be a part of the annual celebrations marking the anniversary of Custer's Last Stand. The first feature length documentary from Amalgamation Films explores the reenactments that take place during this time; the two men who portray Custer, the Indians who ride against him, and the soldiers who die next to him. "Dying With Custer" is a sometimes poignant, sometimes comical look at the way we remember history, and what that memory has to say about who we are.
