Last film of Parveen Babi
silvan-desouza4 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
In July 1983 Parveen Babi left Mumbai, Bollywood and ran away living a secluded hidden life in U.S. and many of her films remained unfinished. Her unfinished films were completed and released later like SITAMGAR(1985),TELEPHONE and the last one was Iraada which released in 1991.Ironically in the film she looks beautiful while in real life she had comeback to Mumbai in 1989 looking overweight and not the same as before

The film had Shatrughan Sinha in the lead and also Moonmoon Sen and other actors, while some actors passed away before the film released like Jeevan, Also the film has songs sung by Kishore Kumar who passed away in 1987. The film has a good plot regarding a construction company and several scenes are well handled however the stale look works against it, also the screenplay is not up to the mark, due to the delay it looks patchy The film also does seem incomplete at several places

Direction is okay Music is decent, songs of Late Kishore Kumar are a pleasure to hear

Shatrughan Sinha looks overweight but does well,Parveen Babi has a small role(she didn't complete the film) her voice too is dubbed by someone else and her acting is okay, Her name however is not mentioned in the credits,

Amrish Puri is superb, Ranjeet is good, Moonmoon Sen is okay Suresh Oberoi is good as usual,Late Jeevan is as usual, Om Puri is okay in a short role rest are okay

Nice one time watch movie, didn't liked the songs though

Watching it today on a television channel. It's like a very predictible masala film of the 90's with very similar setting. Story of the the movie revolve around a construction company and the plot to destroy that construction company.

Shatrughan Sinha and Suresh Oberoi in the lead with Monmoon sen and Amrish Puri too looked in good touch. Praveen Babi had a cameo in the movie and this can be called as her last appearance in the movie.

Direction wise, it's okay. The film doesn't bore you and keeps you involved. Music wise this was not good. Didn't liked a single song in the movie, although Kishore kumar sang the song.

Shatrughan sinha not in the best of form but he manages to do a good job. Suresh oberoi was natural as he is always.
