I've seen a couple of movies with Jacy Andrews in them, and I've come to the conclusion that, if she really wanted to, could become a star in the softcore world. She's got a better than average body, a nice voice, and a "look" that could have some staying power. I'm not saying she's the next Shannon Tweed or anything, but she could become another Gabriella Hall, only with blonde hair.
Anyway, let's get to the story. We begin with Valerie Spiro (Jacy Andrews), a good-looking woman with an awful streak of bad luck when it comes to husbands...6 of them in fact, all dying prematurely....or did they? Valerie was implicated in at least four of her husbands' deaths, getting off scot-free and collecting millions of dollars in the meantime.
The insurance companies are tired of paying for Valerie's misfortune, so in goes Grady Kent (Burke Morgan), an investigator taking a closer look at Valerie's reputation as a "black widow." Also on the case is Mike Raymer (Collin Hughes), a police detective trying to get some hard evidence on Valerie so he can finally pin the murders on her.
Eventually, both men end up getting seduced by Valerie, using her best qualities as a temptress. She's sleeping with both of them, and neither one knows she's having sex with the other. They do know each other, however, as they decide to team up in order to find the precious evidence.
Spoilers following, just a warning.
Valerie uses her body in order to manipulate both men into falling in love with her, which she uses to her advantage. Grady finds the long-sought evidence in Valerie's house--a box with exotic poisons in it, which he then turns over to Mike. Near the end, while planning to run away with Grady, Mike comes into the room, gun in hand, threatening to kill Grady and ordering Valerie to come run away with him.
Then comes one of the more interesting scenes of the film. Valerie takes Mike's side, and persuades Mike into having sex with her--right in front of Grady, tied to a chair at the moment. They have sex, with Valerie giggling with delight while Grady squirms with discomfort.
The ending does have a nice twist to it, as we learn that Valerie had been poisoning those men after all. She shoots Mike, poisons Grady's coffee on her way out, then hops into a car....on her way to Mexico, possibly to tend to a Mexican real estate mogul whose wife just died tragically (That's the article she's reading in the paper in the final scene).
I really liked the film's story, better than your average softcore film. Jacy Andrews gave a believable performance as the conniving seductress, doing whatever possible to get both men to take her side. This is a tapeworthy movie for many things besides the sex, but of course that's the reason to watch it.
Women: A (I really liked Jacy Andrews in this movie. Monica Mayhem--great name, by the way--played Grady's assistant. She had limited lines and two sex scenes. In fact, she was only in three scenes. From what I saw, she was OK with me. Julia Parton had a brief role in this flick too, but it was the usual stuff out of her.)
Sex: A- (I haven't even talked about the sex yet. There were plenty of good scenes, and Jacy moaned pretty good. Monica Mayhem, a hardcore actress by trade, didn't quite get a chance to put those skills to good use in her two scenes.)
Story: A (Good for a softcore movie. The plot twist at the end was unusual for a softcore film, as they are usually devoid of plot twists.)
Overall: A- (The minus is for the "Sex" grade, but overall this was a great film. Story-wise, it was almost as good as "Girl for Girl", although that movie's story was a bit stronger. "Dangerous Pleasures" is quality Skinemax stuff, and the kind of material I usually expect out of MRG Entertainment. Tape it to watch later if you can.)
