Sex & Nudity

  • None.

Violence & Gore

  • Finishing moves can be activated at the end if a match. These include depictions of dismemberment, including bisecting and (in one finisher) decapitating the opponent. One finisher involves a character breaking his opponent's arm, ribs, and skull. A giant monster-like character has a finisher where he devours his opponent offscreen, later burping out their skull. None of this violence is portrayed realistically, yet it is still violent and some finishers can be disturbing.
  • Being a samurai fighting game, many characters wield swords and other similar weapons. Sizable blood effects occur when characters are struck with these weapons, and matches mainly end with the opponent's death.

Profanity

  • None.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The game has a darker tone and more violent finishing moves than the previous games, which is especially apparent with the win screen and music that accompanies it.
