I like the films and videos of veteran pornographer Stuart Canterbury, but not this stinker. His best work is old-school, story-line features like "The Secret of Harlot Hill", but for this one he bills it as an "Xperiment" and delivers unwatchable, random footage.
The problem is editing, plus the poor scripting. Sex scenes and even the interstitial material, frequently has cross-cutting among three or four different scenes or locations, aiming at an artsy effect but merely tedious and off-putting. I found it impossible to get involved in the "thriller" story-line for a minute. Making matters worse, the story does not develop but is shown in sort of Moebius strip fashion, merely ending abruptly, followed by some scenes from Part II (some of which take place earlier in the action, as part of the free-form overall structure).
Amythiest is a total blank as the heroine, walking through the picture expressionless (even before she's brainwashed) as a secret agent sent into action by Evan Stone but mistreated by the bad guys. Sex scenes as mentioned suffer from the rat-a-tat editing, wholly at odds with what viewers like to see in their erotica. Mainly no-mane supporting cast is poor, with Gina Ryder the only femme you've ever heard of. This was made in 2002 when a ton of stars and superstars were not only available but worked incessantly in porn releases so there's no excuse for this weak casting.
Separately reviewed Part 2 is a rehash of the same footage plus more random sex scenes haphazardly edited as if to economically exploit stuff from the cutting room floor.
