This film had me laughing from start to finish! The large ensemble cast works magic together, painting a rich tapestry of kooky characters that are endearing and memorable. Charles Conrad and Joe Campbell have wonderful chemistry together, and the sexual tension between Marguerite McNeil and Steve Yorke is electrifying! I also enjoyed the cameo by King Konqueror, the hardest working rockers in Halifax!
The plot is a familiar one, the artist struggling against the constraints of the system. Michael Fox crafts a sincere narrative that has as much heart as it does hilarity. There are a number of truisms peppered throughout that anyone who has ever made a no-budget movie will appreciate. This is truly a film told from the heart.
