CBS was on top again Thursday with the antics of Big Brother 5 and repeats of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Without a Trace. The WB Network, meanwhile, saw a weak turnout for the 9 p.m. debut of reality/quiz show series Studio 7, which drew fewer than 2 million viewers, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. CBS easily won the night, with the 9 p.m. CSI rerun standing tall as the most-watched show with 13.1 million viewers and 4.5 rating/13 share in the adults 18-40 demographic. WB's Studio 7 averaged 1.9 million viewers and basic cable-sized 2 share in adults 18-49 in the same time slot.

NY1 News anchor Pat Kiernan has been tapped to host the WB Network reality/quiz show Studio 7. The series from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire exec producer Michael Davies, scheduled for Thursdays at 9 p.m. in the fall, will get an early premiere July 22. If the eight-week summer run, which will include encore airings Sundays at 9 p.m., is successful, Studio 7 will continue in the Thursday berth this fall as scheduled.
