Minor Bud Lee effort stresses multi-ethnic content
lor_2 October 2017
Frequent collaborators as director & writer Bud Lee & George Kaplan created this very slight con game feature notable, as Lee stresses repeatedly in his Director's Commentary DVD track, for its featuring femmes of different ethnicities (a practice he explored often in the "United Colors of Ass" series for Video Team).

I appreciated the opportunity to see some fresh faces (and figures) rather than the all-star releases of the period, with Allura Eden cast in the central role as artist Steve Hatcher's conniving girl friend and manager, selling his artwork surreptitiously for profit. Her partner in crime is Joey Ray, a very busy but seldom noted player back then. Eden's ancestry is an unusual mix: Finnish & Japanese.

Hatcher is unconvincing as the main protagonist, generating little sympathy for his plight. Lee and other directors cast him over and over, presumably for his skills in bed, but his acting is rotten here.

On to the main event: the girls surrounding Eden in the story are quite arresting, and come from many backgrounds. Though given no lines, and just a single lesbian sex scene as one of Hatcher's models, Kianna (of Chinese & Scottish ancestry) is promoted on the DVD packaging and even Menu on screen as the star, and is suitably active XXX-wise. However, even her one scene is stolen by an extremely obscure actress Tia Suvari, with Tia winning breast in show and certainly the reason to watch this film, given that IMDb lists no other Adult credits for her. Lee identifies Tia as Native American and her amazing figure is a sight to behold.

A beautiful African-American actress Courtney Devine has an important role as an assistant Attorney General on the fraud case, and from England the familiar Flick Shagwell is hot as another model; usually she is relegated to being the makeup lady behind the scenes on these videos rather than in front of the camera.

Kaplan's story line and twists are fairly uninteresting, and the show is resolved abruptly with Lee apparently in a hurry to get on with his next project, but the unusual ladies in the cast make it worth a peek.
