This is an enjoyable featurette -- well photographed, acted, and edited -- and it serves as an ideal bonus for "All the Right Noises," with which it is bundled by BFI. The espionage tale is slight but gripping, full of red herrings that keep the viewer guessing. Best of all, the payoff is quite funny and worth the wait. I have been in vicarious love with delightful Dorothy Tutin ever since being charmed by her Cecily Cardew character in a DVD release of the classic 1952 version of "The Importance of Being Earnest." Tom Bell is his usual fine, understated self here, and Vladek Sheybal is perfectly cast as the mysterious visitor (hit man? counterspy?). Don't let its half-hour run time put you off. "The Spy's Wife" packs a nice little punch for a lightweight.
