- The whole film is about genital mutilation in female children, so a mature theme. There is one instance of a mutilation ceremony being carried out (non-graphic, but we see the face of the girl who is crying for help). Later on we see a girl being led by her mother to be 'purified' and she is screaming "No! I don't want to be cut!" etc., but we don't actually see the ceremony. In a daytime scene the children visualise the women gathering around them at night with masks on (briefly).
