Evil capitalist Americans try to bleed Ireland dry... But one man stood up for what he believed in... One man (snore)

Warning: Spoilers
From the strangely inappropriate soundtrack to the woefully poor acting, this film rarely gets off the ground, and fails horribly to keep the viewer interested. In fact, if it weren't for amazing feats of writing such as "You'll be eating out and shitting in, instead of eating in and shitting out", i wouldn't have even bothered plodding on to the end. There are times when the film is lifted by hilarious moments such as the random burst of violence from the black suited American (Thirsty for oil, of course)in which he yells "You f-ck!" and plants an unexpected punch upon our noble Irish hero. From the beginning to the end, where the father and son just "Keep walking" to the sounds of U2 in the background, the film fails to make any sort of impact. the good thing about this is that it encourages me to take my camera out and film a political masterpiece, safe in the knowledge that I can't do much worse than Black Velvet.
