Actress Dorothy Lee was owed $450.00 back salary for her work in the movie, due December 1, 1932, but when it was not paid by that date she sued Plymouth Pictures and company president/producer/director Dallas M. Fitzgerald. She won the suit and was paid an extra $31.00 for interest and legal fees.
Samart Pictures reissued "Mazie" in the early 1950s for the 16mm rental and television market, renaming it "Sweet Poison".
