The vignettes structure has been corrupted recently in porn to cover just about everything, even long features (divided into 8 episodes, for example), as a result of the streaming craze. This "Lovers & Cheaters II" compendium of 5 segments is well-written (with good plot twists and surprises) by auteur James Avalon and well-performed by a cast of lesser names. Mackenzie Mack is the host/narrator and though she doesn't get involved in the sex action she gets naked satisfyingly.
My favorite vignette has several twists: Eric Masterson is a couch potato, glued to his TV set watching sports and ignoring his wife, when old flame shows up to reminisce. Both Keiko and Bobbi Eden are terrific in a fascinating little game of cat & mouse with Eric in the middle, perfect example of how good acting/story can enhance the sexual content (a lesson a couple of generations of big- name pornographers have totally forgotten).
Big deal finish is less rewarding, as Avalon stages a masquerade ball involving video's star Ava Vincent, and the overused porn gimmick of masks and hidden identities is tedious as usual.
Well worth watching for the variety of action and a cast that is not just the same old faces (as would be the case with the competing Penthouse label).
