Pile of Suckitude

Warning: Spoilers
The girl who plays Angie is the worst actor ever, even worse than David Caruso. She changes between an English, French, Australian, Russian, Japanese, Swahili, Klingon, and Pig Latin accent throughout the course of the movie, and is just about the worst deliverer of lines ever. Stephen Hawking would be much better delivering her lines than she would be. The other "actors" are only slightly better. The guy who "plays" Angie's boyfriend is pretty much a loser, and is not even close to a representation of a normal boyfriend. The guy is a blubbering pansy and can't even break down a door when his girlfriend is being raped by a lesbian ghost. All he manages to do is hold on to the doorknob and fling his body against the door while crying for his friend to try to bail him out. The guy who plays Carter is the best actor in the movie, which is about as good as being the best pedophile in the mental hospital. The movie does get better in the last ten minutes, but seeing as the first part of the movie is really nothing but a display of how not to act, this is not much of a feat. The only good thing about the entire movie are the bearable opening credits, and the ending montage, which is actually okay. Other than that, the movie should be sent to the Middle East with Barney and join him as a torture device for prisoners.

Great short film!

As someone who actually went to school at the University of Illinois where director Chris Folkens graduated, I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of this film. UIUC does not have a film program so for a student to have created a film with strengths such as this one possesses is a great accomplishment. For those of you unfamiliar with the University of Illinois, this film takes rumors that the English building is haunted (this rumor has actually been around for many years) and plays them out in a thriller-like fashion. The student cast and crew have created a very strong film both visually and acoustically. I'm not sure of the amount of time spent on the score but I can definitely say it is on a professional level. I'm interested to see what Folkens comes up with next.
