i thoroughly enjoyed this film, about to be shown at Slamdance 2005. if you are at all interested in New York hip hop culture then this movie should really catch your interest. Tragedy shares some amazing and shocking stories. it is a great look into the psyche of a NY thug brought up in the streets. this is a story of a man who has really lived it. interviews with various rappers are intriguing as well. the film has a very nice gritty look to it, shot digitally on the panasonic dvx 100 which gives nice colour and realism. When watching this film it feels very real, you know that this footage comes straight from the streets. this ain't no MTV bull. this is from the streets. it is interesting to see how these rappers act compared to most of the more mainstream rappers that claim to be real. there are drugs in this film and there are guns. viewer beware
