Rooney invents a drum machine but he and Deedee try to keep it a secret from Moe. Moe sneaks a look at it and believes they are planning to eliminate him from the band putting him in a sour mood. At the concert he discovers the truth.
Rooney invents a new device called the Bring-a-Sound-Arounder to help everyone hear. It is such a success Rooney becomes engrossed in his invention ignoring his friends until his device allows him to hear them wonder if he is leaving them.
The Doodlebops are fascinated with trains so they decide to write a song about them. However, Jazzmin warns them to not tell Bus Driver Bob until they reach the concert. He loves trains so much he wants to be an engineer.
After Jazzmin reminds them they must tune their instruments, the Doodlebops decide to switch instruments and hobbies for the day. They learn the talent each of the others has developed playing their instruments and in their hobbies.
Deedee's favorite singer Zimmy ZimZam visits the studio and concert. Deedee tries to change the style of their new song to Zimmy's style until Rooney, Moe, and Zimmy himself tells her they should stick with the Doodlebop style.
Deedee decides Doodlebug Central would be brighten up with plants.Everyone agrees until she brings in her favorite plant. It has an awful smell but Deedee can't smell it due to a cold. The issue is solved when Deedee's cold clears.
A rock and roll superstar magazine lavishes praise on Deedee which goes to her head causing her to ignore Rooney and Moe. They begin to wonder if she will leave the band to go on her own but Jazzmin's comment to her snaps Deedee out of it.
When new pictures taken by Jazzmin look like their old pictures, she suggests they try new looks. They decide to dress in new music styles with Deedee going Country, Rooney going Hip Hop, and Moe trying the Hard Rock look.
Moe is named the best "Hider Ever" when Deedee and Roney can't find him. Rooney wanting to be good at it as well decides to invent a machine that will make him invisible. He is now the best hider especially when he loses the control knob.
The Doodlebops make a mess in Doodlebop Central and the studio. When Jazzmin points out the mess, Rooney adapts his leaf blower to clean up the messes. However, it puts all the junk on the bus which Bus Driver Bob works hard to keep clean.
Jazzmin gives the Doodlebops a book of 26 dances A-Z. They decide to have a dance off to see who can do them in order first. Deedee gets a huge head start but does it so fast she tires out and comes in last learning to work steady is best.
Moe can't find his drumsticks. He decides to play detective spending his time questioning and blaming others rather than looking for them by retracing his steps. He finds them at the concert - in his own jacket.
Rooney has invented a new scooter which he uses to go to everywhere including the couch. Jazzmin warns him that if he isn't more active he may get Flat-Sits which he does get. Deedee and Moe have to have the help of the kids to cure him.
Rooney and Deedee had interesting things happen on their vacations but Moe's visit to a swamp didn't. Deedee and Rooney accidentally get the idea Moe wrestled an alligator and he doesn't say differently until Bus Driver Bob advises him.
Deedee has a new dance pad the boys want to try but she tells them they can use when she is done but she never gives it up. When Moe shares flowers he receives with Rooney and Deedee, Deedee finally realizes she is not sharing with others.
Rooney and Deedee have tasks to complete but the fidgety Moe keeps invading their personal space aggravating them. Same problem occurs in the studio with Studio Murphy and on the bus with Bus Driver Bob until Moe learns to respect others.
Deedee loses her voice trying to sing experimental notes. Jazzmin tells her to rest her voice so the Doodlebops learn to use other means to communicate. Bus Driver Bob explains other means of communication used daily by drivers.
The Doodlebops are rushing around to complete tasks but not taking the time to do them properly. Jazzmin tells them to slow down and "Hold their horses". Deedee cuts off Moe's drum solo and Bus Driver Bob forgot to have the bus fixed.
As Moe tells about being asked to be quiet at the library, his continued noise making agitates the other Doodlebops. Audio Murphy and finally Bus Driver Bob have to ask him to be quieter before he understands the annoyance he is being.
The Doodlebops find toys they have out grown in the closet. Deedee and Moe give theirs to Jazzmin's nieces but Rooney wants to keep his Ukulele even though he no longer uses it. At the concert he finally decides to give it to a boy there.
The Doodlbops need a theme for a song. Mudge suggests a song thanking their fans. Mudge watches them record it but disappears to go watch their concert. The Doodlebops are worried about him missing but remember to thank him at the concert.
Being the Christmas Holiday period the Doodlebops decide to decorate Doodlebop Central with Christmas and other holiday elements. Needing a song they decide to create one to express their holiday feelings and a dance by Moe at the concert.
Deedee thinks she broke Moe's toy and is afraid to tell him. To fix it she takes Rooney's tool to fix things. The boys believe a gremlin is stealing things until Bus Driver Bob tells Deedee it is always best to tell friends the truth.
The Doodlebops talk about their interest in the moon and their dreams for the moon. Jazzmin and Audio Murphy talk about their dream professions. Bus Driver Bob takes the Doodlebops to the moon for a quick trip in his bus.
The Doodlebops learn new things about each they didn't know. They keep hearing guitar playing (riffs) but can't find who is playing them. They learn it is Bus Driver Bob who does a solo song at the start of their concert.
Moe believes his good luck is due to a four leaf clover. He loses it and is afraid to play in the concert until Jazzmin gives him her lucky paper clip. He learns there are no lucky objects when she tells him she just received it.
