Average band, dire DVD
Soulfly25 November 2006
Ill Nino released a great debut album. Sticking pretty rigidly to the nu-metal formula they got themselves a fair following. The second album, sadly, drifted off into a weak melodic direction and the band soon disappeared.

This live DVD sees the band playing in a support slot for a large, and largely, uninterested crowd. The set list is as follows: 1. "Te Amo…I Hate You" 2. "What Comes Around" 3. "I Am Loco" 4. "Cleansing" 5. "This Time's For Real" 6. "Unframed" 7. "How Can I Live" 8. "Unreal" 9. "Liar". The lack of "God Save Us" is a poor start. Lead singer Cristian is a pretty poor front man. Never engaging and his voice sounding crappy live, he just doesn't draw any attention or come close to making any sort of connection.

Apart from the live gig you get a short interview segment with the band. This only serves to make them look like a bunch of fools who seem to believe they are bigger, better and more socially significant than they actually are.

There's also a crappy photo gallery, which features a stunning array of crap photos all shown very small. Whoever came up with this needs a slap.

The only other thing on the DVD is a short "Confessional" segment where the band confess their sins. And 99.9% of those involve sex, cheating, threesomes.... How boring.

Overall, if you're a die-hard Ill Nino fan you'll probably love this. For those of us who have a quality filter on their ears, this is a waste of time.
