Comparable to a home made video
luongfilms5 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This is a poor copy of the $7500 movie from Robert Rodriguez's 'El Mariachi' with very poor acting and probably 10 times the budget. The writer/Director could have not made it more comparable when he used a similar drug lord in the film as Robert Rodriguez did in his film. At the end, the drug lord also dies in a pool in the same way. How amazing the story was similar.

I was given this movie from a friend and he said, "Check this movie out and tell me how crappy it is!".

I can't believe someone can make a movie like this even in this day and age. I also can't believe it even got distributed. I am sorry to say I this one is really bad for Rob Walker. I don't understand how he can get away with all the bad acting (even though some I thought were very talented), bad direction and mis-continuity that will give the editor a nightmare during post.

I can only say that the AUDIO WORK was what saved this movie. Also, the Lead Female did a good job to carry this film.

I want my $1.99 back

Warning: Spoilers
Found this blu ray in a $1.99 bin and figured why not? Well I wish I didn't. A waste of even that little money. I'm pretty sure this is some kid's high school film project that they put on a disc and tried to pass it off as a movie. Terrible plot line, terrible acting, and terrible production. A waste of time and money. It would be 1 star but I made it 2 stars since there is a scene with boobs, and really, who doesn't like boobs?

Possibly the worst film of all time
mailer-71 July 2006
There is absolutely no way to describe how horrible this film is. Six String Samurai deserved an Oscar for Best Picture compared to Border Warz. In fact, G.I. Jane may be considered the greatest film ever when compared to Rob Walker's disastrous attempt at a film. I think the only film I've ever seen nearly as bad as this was "Gummo." The editor was left with nearly no footage to use in compilation, the production was mucked up by the director in countless ways, the acting was real "hit or miss" - in that large sections of the cast did not know the first thing about how to act.

I couldn't believe this film was for sale in military exchanges and not in the $0.99 bin.

Absolutely wretched. I feel bad for the few talented actors and crew members who sadly have their name attached to this.

Basically, the premise of the film is that a college student film uncovers a drug operation near the US-Mexican border, the students are on the run from the American drug lord, and there is pretty much nothing remotely coherent beyond that. Story telling is non-existent. I couldn't believe I sat through the whole thing.

Horrible...Horrible..Horrible...Horrible

This has to be one of the biggest pieces of dog crap ever made. The acting for the most part was ultra amateur with a very very few exceptions. Even the topless shower scene wasn't any good and I'm definitely a fan of boobs. The continuity of the film was non-existent. You didn't know when they went to a flashback or just skipped to a completely different scene. The script was laughable at best and the whole thing looked like it was filmed with a home movie camera. I know the premise of the film is that a college film student uncovers a drug operation, but I was expecting only the parts of the movie supposedly filmed by the student to look like a home movie, not the whole film. I was duped into watching this masterpiece by the back cover which said, "In the vein of Traffic, get ready to cross one of the world's deadliest borders. When two young girls go looking for connections and a story, they find themselves in the middle of a deadly drug war. Welcome to a world where all you're worth is what you can sell". This was nothing close to Traffic, so save 87 min of your life that you'll never get back....wish I had.
