Title was originally taken from a popular Andrew W.K. song also called "Girls Own Love". The song was supposed to be used in the film. When it was decided that the film would have a completely original score, the song was not used. The title however stayed the same because the guys were too lazy to think of anything new.
Jack Allison is the one heard singing and scatting during the end credits
A special rig was designed and fabricated by Richard Mallery, Chris Mallery's father, so that a camera could be mounted to the side of Chris' car for the opening sequence.
Contrary to popular belief, the script was written in a very short amount of time. Executive Producer, Alex Hakobian, was told that Jack had been working on the script for weeks. In reality, the premise was thought up during a short instant messaging conversation between Jack and Chris. Jack wrote the screenplay that night and the next day the script was read with other members of the production crew for their input and to make minor revisions. The following day it was submitted to Hakobian and he approved the project.
Many shots were specifically designed to exploit the use of the new dolly they had ordered.
