C’mon get happy! In the 1970s TV series The Partridge Family, a group of musical siblings shoot to fame thanks to a catchy single and head out on the road with their mom. The show, which aired from 1970–74, was a pop culture phenomenon and made stars out of its young cast, including David Cassidy and Susan Dey.
Sadly, life after The Partridge Family wasn’t so kind to all the show’s actors. While some had successful post-show careers in Hollywood, others struggled with personal issues. Others dropped out of the spotlight altogether. Here’s a look at The Partridge Family cast and which stars are still alive.

Danny Bonaduce’s Brain Surgery Was a Success, ‘Partridge Family’ Star Expected Home Soon, Agent Says
Danny Bonaduce’s brain surgery was a success, his agent Paul Anderson told TMZ on Tuesday.
The “Partridge Family” star, who was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus, had a stent and a drainage port put in to relieve the pressure on his brain. Ahead of the surgery, Bondaduce said he hoped it would restore his ability to walk.
“From what I hear, if the diagnosis is correct, it’ll be 50 percent better right [away]. But I’d rather be safe than sorry. I don’t wanna get my hopes up too much that I’ll be cured … I will be completely bummed out if this doesn’t work. I can’t walk currently, I just can’t,” he said.

Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams have a unique TV history, and this weekend, it gets a new chapter.
The two actors were among ABC's most popular stars of family-friendly sitcoms in the late '60s and early '70s, Bonaduce as precocious Danny on "The Partridge Family" and Williams as earnest Greg on "The Brady Bunch." Their paths crossed memorably in the 2002 premiere of Fox's short-lived (as in, two episodes) "Celebrity Boxing," with Bonaduce pretty much ruling their bout.
On Saturday (June 30), they're back together in "Bigfoot," a new Syfy movie that makes them opponents again, this time in pursuit of the title creature. Other notables are involved -- Howard Hesseman ("Wkrp in Cincinnati") and rock icon Alice Cooper are among co-stars, and actor Bruce Davison ("X-Men") is the director -- but there's no question the Bonaduce vs. Williams rematch is the main event.

As a lover of all things terrible – The Room, cheese curds, this rhyme in Lfo’s “Summer Girls”: “When you take a sip you buzz like a hornet / Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole bunch of sonnets” – I’m obviously a fan of the Syfy Original Movie. In fact, I’m such supporter of the network’s Saturday night movies, that my parents gifted me the only two items I wanted for my birthday: DVDs of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and Mega Piranha. There’s something about the cheesy special effects combined with the awful dialogue (“That, I do,...

Danny Bonaduce, former child star from the 1970s show "The Partridge Family," announced on his website Monday (Dec. 6) that he wed his manager and long-time girlfriend Amy Railsback during a trip to Hawaii on Nov. 22. The wedding was held in a private ceremony at the Maui Four Seasons.
At 28, Railsback is 23 years younger than the 51 year-old Bonaduce. They reportedly met at a Starbucks three years ago, when Railsback struck up a conversation with Bonaduce by complimenting his reality show "Breaking Bonaduce."
When Bonaduce landed a radio hosting job in Philadelphia, Railsback moved from California to the East Coast with him and he popped the question in March 2009, just a few months after his divorce from wife of 17 years Gretchen Hillmer was finalized.
Congratulations to the happy couple. More photos can be seen on Danny's website. What do you think of the skull ring?...

I admit it, I’m a sucker for reality TV. Partially because there’s really nothing else on, and partially because some of the cast members make me feel a lot better about myself. And ok, sure, it can be a lot of fun. Especially when the central figure is a sexy rock chick with an awesome alternative fashion line.
I’m talking about Gretchen Bonaduce. Yes, the tear-filled wife of Danny Bonaduce, who went through so much s*** on national TV trying to help him get sober on Breaking Bonaduce. Or, you may know her from MTV’S Gimme My Reality Show! in which reality celebs competed to, well, land their own reality show. Hence the name. Gretchen won the competition, and so Re-Inventing Bonaduce was born.
I know what you’re thinking. Why should I want to see her in yet another reality show? For one thing, she dumped Danny,...

Sorry, ladies; Danny Bonaduce is that much closer to being off the market. Us Magazine reports that the 49-year-old former Partridge Family and Breaking Bonaduce star has gotten engaged to his girlfriend/manager, Amy Railsback. To hear his fiancée tell it, Bonaduce eventually wore down her resistance to the idea of marriage. "He proposed a whole bunch of times over the last couple of years, but you know, it's never quite official until you have a ring on your finger," says Railsback, who met Bonaduce at a Starbucks about two years ago. "I'm a little giddy about it." The ring that Bonaduce slipped on her.

Keeping in line with their better has-beens through useless TV-therapy programming strategy (See: Breaking Bonaduce, Scott Baio Is 45 And In Therapy On VH1, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew Starring Dr. Drew Hey Did We Mention Dr. Drew? Because He Really Wants To Become Famous, Oh And Help People), Vh1 rounded up some 80s and 90s teen idols, like that guy from Baywatch, the guy responsible for "How Do You Talk To An Angel?", and Eric Nies, and put them in some kind of useless TV group therapy for Confessions Of A Teen Idol. From VH1: "This is not like any reality show you’ve ever seen before. It is not a competition and there are no eliminations. But there is refreshingly honest (and at times very dramatic) look at the addiction of fame and a real opportunity for each one of these guys to get that stardom...

TV star Danny Bonaduce has been left devastated by his divorce and he fears he'll never recover from his split from wife Gretchen. The Partridge Family star went public with the divorce on a Los Angeles radio show earlier this month and now reveals his wife of 17 years simply told him she no longer loved him. Speaking on news show Extra last night, Bonaduce said, "She just looked at me and said, 'I'm not in love with you anymore, ' and three days later after I stopped crying I said 'Okie, dokie.' I will love her for the rest of my life and I want her to stay with me forever and ever." Meanwhile, Gretchen, who was part of Bonaduce's hit reality show Breaking Bonaduce, says, "We really weren't getting along and I think, for the kids sake, that it's the right time to do it. It's better to be from a broken home than in a broken home." Bonaduce admits he thought the couple's problems were over after he underwent a stint in rehab for substance abuse. He adds, "We always hoped that once I actually got sober, we could get past it and I guess unfortunately we couldn't."...

Irv Gotti's attempt at a comeback and five former boy-band members looking for a second shot at success are among the subjects of six new series greenlighted by VH1 that are set to premiere next year as part of a new music-branded block of programming dubbed VH1's Wild Life.
Other series in the primetime block, set to launch in the first quarter, will revolve around finding the "next great white rapper" and Cisco Adler's band Whitestarr, which is looking to sell its first record, among others.
Brian Graden, president of entertainment at MTV Networks Music Group, noted that the shows all have a common thread running through them.
"One thing that really jumped off the page for me was that so many of them are aspirational, (where the subjects are) looking to have a profile in music or make a mark or a comeback," he said. "As the pilots came in, we saw the pieces fall into place and (decided that) rather than simply launching a TV show, we would make a bigger play at inaugurating another primetime evening hopefully as big as 'Celebreality.' "
Graden added that it's yet to be determined what night the new block will air; the Celebreality block, which has included shows like Flavor of Love, The Surreal Life and Breaking Bonaduce, airs on Sunday nights. Spurred by shows like Flavor of Love 2, which set network records with its season finale this month, VH1 is up 82% among total viewers in total-day viewership when compared with 2002, Graden noted.
