Excellent

Although i was expecting this short film to last ten seconds, it ironically lasted about 2 minutes longer. Saw it at the Landcrab Film Festival and enjoyed every second. It's about this guy who can see ten seconds into the future, and he uses this power to help himself. Then he decides to use it to help others, i won't spoil the last bit, but it was very enjoyable. I feel that the right actor was chosen to play this, and with his small accommodation it really added character. Would definitely like to see more films from Tim Clague. I can't wait to see more films from Tim Clague and hope that he does a lot better in the next Landcrab Film Festival.

Amusing little short with a solid punchline (spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers
A man wakes up one day to find he has a remarkable ability to see ten seconds into the future. Doing his household chores he finds this gift stops him doing stupid stuff as he is able to see himself spilling coffee etc and stop it before it happens however it is not long before he starts to consider how he can use his gift to help the rest of mankind.

Although longer than the title would suggest, this film is still only a few minutes long. In this time it sets up and delivers an ironic "twist of fate" style punch-line that is quite amusing, mostly because of how efficiently and suddenly it does it. For two minutes long it is enough to make it tickle most viewers but it is not as strong as I would have liked. Building up to this we have very minor examples of his power but these are not brilliantly done and I personally didn't like the visual effects to create the "vision". Likewise the set is almost too basic and lacking in individual creativity. Of course these are both minor flaws – at least one of which can be explained by the very short shoot time and the tight budget.

The strange chap (Ewans) is comic but not the best for the role. He is not that strong a presence and he feels like a cheap version of someone better; put it another way – the fast pace and punchy end helps cover up his weaknesses in the delivery. I'm over analysing this though, because really as a very short comedy film it only needs to do one thing – make it laugh. In this area it didn't totally succeed but it was certainly amusing and provided a nice little joke at the end.

British short, so dumb it's funny - X-D

"10 seconds" is a British short Comedy-film, produced by the well known company UK Film Council.

With a running time of only two minutes, this film is basically about a man (played by Nick Ewans), who's ability makes him foresee 10 seconds into the future.

I actually saw this short film yesterday (a few hours before watching the anime "Megami Paradise"), just now today I wrote this review. I honestly don't really know how I should comment about this film, this short film is just so dumb, that I ended up laughing to this at the end. It's indeed a comedy after all. If you find this short film, then I suggest you to at least check this out. This short comedy is really worth to check out. :-)

Wow is this dumb---and I like it!!

This is a very, very short film at only two minutes, so it's almost impossible to review the film AND avoid telling the punchline AND meeting IMDb's minimum number of lines per review, but I'll try.

The film begins with Nick Ewans (who looks almost like he could be Colin Mochrie's twin) sitting in a room and you can hear what he's thinking. So, in an odd twist, what he's thinking is the narrator. He explains to everyone that he can see into the future. Well, only 10 seconds into the future, but he plans on using this to benefit mankind. Or perhaps not.

See this very funny short film. Considering it's only two minutes long, you can't do terribly wrong AND we can all use a good laugh from time to time.

A very cute and funny comedy short

Warning: Spoilers
A middle-aged man (delightfully played with giddy aplomb by Nick Ewans) wakes up one fateful morning with the special magical ability to see ten seconds into the future. The man not only avoids stepping on a tack and spilling coffee on himself, but also finds a dollar bill under his bed. He even tries (and fails) to stop a hapless cyclist from having an accident. But ultimately our cheery protagonist decides to use his newfound psychic gift to win himself a fortunate at the local casinos. Writer/director Tim Clague delivers an extremely witty and lively little rib-tickler that breezes by at a snappy clip and crams a lot of laughs into its fleeting two minute running time. Ewans makes for an engaging lead while Lee Miller's infectiously bouncy score perfectly fits the lighthearted tone. The funky special effects and Shaune Fradley's bright cinematography are both also up to speed. A total hoot.
