Gamecube isn't much of a popular system, but when they released "WWE: day of reckoning", people went and bought copies. it was a good seller, mainly because it was the only WWE game for Gamecube, of the year 2004 at the time. This review is about it's little brother, made a year later.

In WWE: day of reckoning 2, you must use a created wrestler to go through a story mode to WWE gold. but you'd have to play the first game and beat it's story mode to really understand what you're doing. because according to the game, you are a former world heavyweight champion, before losing it. now, you're gonna get it back.

This game has a good sum of superstars and Divas, including "the animal" Batista, Big show, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, John Cena, and Divas like Christy Hemme and the recently retired Trish stratus, As well as Legends like Bret hart, stone cold Steve Austin and Hulk hogan. As well as tons of Rings, including Raw and Smackdown, and Heat and Velocity, Including Bad Blood, Survivor series, Backlash, And the "Wrestlemania goes Hollywood" Wrestlemania ring. Plus some music from the band A Dark Halo.

The game also boasts a new stamina system, where you can run out of energy, from constantly pounding an opponent. you can recover it by letting your superstar rest, or, you can get them to make their opponent submit - With the new submission system. In addition to the Stamina system, A submission system allows people in the hold to break out or people doing the hold getting an upper hand some way. there are 4 choices, all of which you choose with the "C" stick. Move the stick up for "Submit" which is basically wearing down the body part (such as the legs) in a submission hold. or, you can go taunt, which will break down your opponent's spirit, making them more vulnerable to being pinned. you can also do drain, which will drain your opponent's stamina, or rest hold, which brings it up. If you've played "Dragonball Z: Budokai 3", it's got a similar system of which to break out of a hold. if you are in the hold and your opponent does "submit", and you choose your defense as "submit", you can break out of the hold. if it's not the same, the hold stays on until the guy doing the hold decides to let go.

Here's a few more pros and cons -The ability to change your favorite superstars moves and how they act to the crowd (are they clean fighters or dirty fighters?) -A Diva can never bleed, whatsoever. -You can create divas, however, created divas cannot participate in a bra and panties match. -(not Confirmed) If you have more than 3 created wrestlers with intros on, sometimes weird looking colors appear on the created character's head. -There is not much selection for spoken names, nor places.

Either way, this game is worth buying. I rented this for 5 bucks, then 6 months later, bought it for 26.99 at Wal-mart. you'll find it on ebay, but look at pawnshops for better deals.
